For history buffs and art appreciators, the Hill-Stead Museum is a beautiful estate once owned by the prominent Sill family. The Stanley-Whitman House is a vibrant museum and historic site. Owned by the non-profit organization of Stanley-Whitman House Inc., it was constructed in 1720 and is one of the oldest houses in Connecticut. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located on 300 acres of rolling hills and lush forests, Winding Trails offers something for everyone. The main attraction is the trails, ranging from easy, beginner-level hiking paths to more challenging backcountry trails. 
 
The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail is a popular recreational trail and historic corridor stretching from New Haven to Northampton, Massachusetts. The trail follows the historic route of the Farmington Canal, which operated from 1825 to 1847 and was initially built to connect New Haven to Northampton.
